Created by X-Plane aircraft author Javier Rollon, this single-engine military trainer is an important piece of fighter history (the first prototype was tested in 1936!). With its beautiful 3-D cockpit, it makes for a great flight.

Interview with X-Plane author Austin Meyer

McPhat Studios recently interviewed Austin Meyer, owner and developer of X-Plane, at the X-Plane Developers’ Conference in Mallorca, Spain. Austin talks about being a private pilot (and an experimental aircraft builder) in the United States. He also talks a bit about the history of X-Plane, what separates X-Plane from the other sims, and about his time (way back in 1993!) as a user of Microsoft Flight Simulator.
