Time to make the aileron trim!

To start, we simply measure out the right width of the tab right off of a simple sheet of aluminum!

Then simply run the sheet through a band-saw along the lines we just measured.

Now smooth and straighten the edges on the sanding-thingy. DANGER! THE ALUMINUM GETS REALLY HOT WHEN YOU DO THIS! I burned myself much more thean once getting the edges of the aluminum just perfect.

There you have it! A trim tab! But, it is useless unil you can attch it to the airplane, which is certainly the hard part.

So, get some piano-hinge and clamp it to the trim tab. Then drill right through them both where the rivet will hold them together!

Drop a cleco (a temporary rivet) into the hole to hold the hinge and the trim tab together so when you drill the NEXT hole, it is in exactly the right place.

There you go! The hinge is held to the tab with some clecos, which are just temporary, but it is held perfectly in place while I drilled all the holes through the tab and hinge, which will soon be riveted! I DO ALL THE WORK!

OOOooooooo!!!! RIVETS!

And then POLISH it to make it perfect!
