Meet X-Plane Mobile

X-Plane Mobile is our name for our whole line of portable flight simulators. This includes X-Plane for iPad, X-Plane 9 for Android devices, and the whole fleet of simulators for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and Palm Pre. Use the links above to learn the specifics of each platform.

Each of these mobile applications have a flight model that is about 95% as accurate as the one used by the desktop simulator–that is, 95% as accurate as the simulator currently being used by companies like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and NASA. They also have many of the same weather, sky, and time conditions available. (The Android app’s flight model is closer to 85% as accurate as the desktop sim, which isn’t bad considering it uses only a tiny fraction of the device’s CPU.)

The mobile X-Plane applications, like their desktop counterpart, are constantly being updated as new features are added and old ones are improved. As the graphics, flight model, and interface technology are improved in one X-Plane Mobile app, all the applications will be updated–for free! Much, much more is still in the wings!

The goal of the X-Plane Mobile applications is to have as much of the fun and power of the full desktop version as possible available on a portable platform. And, by pricing at only $10 (or less), we can offer a pretty amazing value for each of these pieces of the X-Plane desktop simulator.
