Space Shuttle is the X-Plane Mobile simulator for space flight. It is uniquely able to simulate portions of the real shuttle flight that users might never be able to see otherwise--after all, after the first few minutes of launch, the Orbiter is well out of sight, and NASA is in no hurry to put fly-by cameras for us in space.
In some ways, Space Shuttle is quite different from the other X-Plane-based simulators on the iPhone and iPod Touch. There is only one aircraft (the shuttle Orbiter) available. Unlike the other apps, Space Shuttle provides mission segments to fly. Users can sit back and watch the Shuttle's launch and entry into orbit, or take control of the complete re-entry (from nearly 200,000 feet), the full approach to Edwards, or the final approach. They can even dock with the International Space Station!
