This is the current page for the the X-1-FJ-33, a plane that is the VLJ that >>I<< want.

A ton of people have designed VLJ's recently, but I have only seen ONE that I really, really, really LUST FOR: The EJ-400.

I mean, LOOK AT IT:

All the other VLJ's look to me to be too big, too fast, too expensive (2 engines!), etc.

This plane was built on a wing designed for a bigger plane, so was over-weight.

This plane was designed to work with avionics (the AVIO system) that were, umm, 'troublesome', to say the least.

This plane was attached to a company (Eclipse) that was on the verge of bankruptcy when introduced.

But I still >WANT< it, and so do a lot of other people.

So, what about a ground-up design, but one that is designed to be optimum from the start, with ultimate avionics? And it needs to be a HAIR bigger (more like a Columbai-400) to really have room for four. What would such a plane be like?
