Two improvements to situation files are coming in X-Plane 11.10. Now you have the option to always start with a specific flight situation. Secondly, restored functionality allows you to assign situations to key assignments. This video previews these changes to situation files.
X-Plane 11.10 will include a new option in settings: kiosk mode. This password-protected mode is a great option for using the sim at a trade show or in a training situation, because no preferences are saved and settings cannot be changed. The video below is a short demo of how to use kiosk mode.
