This page has a history of the DVD versions of X-Plane 9 that have been published. Some things to note about X-Plane 9 DVDs:
- The installer on the DVDs should be your first choice for installation, but if it has a problem, you can always use the latest 2xx version installer with any X-Plane 9 DVD.
- Some installations are for all OSes, some for just one, so check the box label or web store tech specs carefully!
- You can always upgrade to the very latest X-Plane from any DVD, and all of the DVD sets contain the entire set of version 9 global scenery. So even if you have Beta 1, you can get “the very latest and greatest” with a web update.
- Some DVD sets require running the installer once per DVD; others will prompt you for the next disk. Whether your disk set is “one installer per disk” or “one huge install total” depends on the DVDs, not the installer version you use!
